Usually I stay at the Hilton when I travel. If I had a few night at the Hyatt so decided to stay here. I was pleasantly surprised at the good customer service and the room that I was given. Shinjuku is only a 15 minute walk away to the main stores and they have a regular shuttle bus as well. The room was nice and clean and came with a good view. I didn’t get a chance to eat here so couldn’t comment on the food. Shinjuku was close by so we ate there instead. Given the chance, I think we will definitely come here again in our next trip.

We stayed here 4 nights and we really liked it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a shuttle to Shinjuku station which is really convenient but the walk isn't bad if you have to. The rooms were good, WiFi was good, I heard the gym was really nice. No real complaints and would recommend staying here. The worst thing about it is the breakfast offering that costs over 30 (USD) per person. It looks good but it would have been nice for a more reasonable option.

We stayed there 2 nights. Our room was HUGE, and the hotel has a shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes to the Shinjuku Station. We found it to be very convenient. The concierge also carried the Tokyo Subway card (24, 48 or 72-hours, unlimited rides for 800 to 1200 Yens) which we were able to purchase from them and saved us a lot of time. The drop off was near the west exit, B18 and the hotel shuttle bus was clearly marked. It runs exactly on schedule. Also, the nearest metro stop is Tochomae which is also only a few minutes walk away. Great location.

Non-Family Friendly hotel, would not recommend for Tokyo 2020 We were expecting the World of Hyatt Experience we are accustomed to, but instead received service similar to that of a 2 star hotel. We were really looking forward to our stay here after visiting the Grand Hyatt in Tokyo about a week ago with our young daughter (12 months), but were really let down by the Regency experience. Two major reasons play a part of this review: 1-we reserved a baby crib in advance, yet upon check-in, the front desk associate gave us a hard time because he said our child could walk and the bed is not sized for her. I asked several times to see the crib as we have had a good experience at the Grand Hyatt and Sofitel in Japan and they were not concerned Once I saw the crib, the same crib at the mentioned hotels, I confirmed that it's fine. 2- We called the hotel ahead of time to make sure they had kid strollers available to use during the day. This is fairly common for 4/5 star hotels to have, as they enjoy accommodating families. Similarly, at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo we were able to use one of their strollers. Upon calling the hotel directly we were informed that yes there were strollers available. This was a big part of why we chose certain hotels - as traveling with young ones is always difficult. Once we checked in however, we were informed that the hotel had no strollers at all. To say the least, we were disappointed. After voicing our displeasure the hotel said they could contact an outside company for a stroller but that it would take at least a day to deliver. Tokyo being a walking city we were left with no choice but to go ahead with this plan. Initially I expected the hotel to obtain the stroller on their behalf, however I was again dismayed to find that we would be required to pay an extra 7,100 yen for a few days use of the stroller. This is certainly not the Hyatt experience we have enjoyed over the years, and I would strongly recommend families considering the Hyatt Regency in Tokyo for future trips to go elsewhere.
