BRICK LANE All Day Breakfast was among the first to pioneer the concept of crossing a gallery with a restaurant in Hong Kong. Art is an important part of BRICK LANE Gallery, they wish to help local artists create visibility and uncover opportunities, thus on a quarterly basis, they would collaborate with different art people or units to host exhibition in the restaurant. On the food front, its the same unparalled quality range of English meals they serve up at BRICK LANE, including best sellers All Day Breakfast, Eggs Benedict, Fish and Chips and freshly baked Red Velvet Cakes by their own bakery. It is truly a space that allows diners to respite in this buzzy and crowded metropolitan.

Had lunch with my colleagues at this Western resto for lunch. . I ordered the Egg Benedict with Smoked Salmon Signature Set. The toast was topped with two poached eggs, smoked salmon, spinach and hollandaise sauce. The poached egg was perfectly cooked, and the egg yolk flowed like lava over the smoked salmon when I cut into it. My colleagues ordered Grilled Sirloin Steak Set Lunch and Pan Fried Fillet of Sea Bass Set Lunch respectively. The Grilled Sirloin Steak Set Lunch included chips and vegetables. The steak was quite tender, and the chips were satisfactory. The Pan Fried Fillet of Sea Bass included potato mash and vegetables. The sea bass was meaty with a crispy fried skin. It remained moist and pleasantly soft. Each of our sets included soup, green salad and a drink. . The resto was quite comfortable and relaxing. However, the price of the sets was quite expensive.

Rubbish, unless you enjoy cold steak. Order a $400 ribeye midium rare. Served cold inside and barely grilled on crust. Definately dethawed and possibly microwaved/boilrd before pan seared. Absolute disaster. Asked for manager and chef, no response whatsoever.

Came on a weekday for lunch, ordered a steak and a burger. The steak came in minutes after ordering, lukewarm. Pretty sure it was pre-cooked and just served on plate once got the order. The burger came a few minutes later and looked tiny bit better. The lunch cost $200-ish including drinks and service charge. Definitely not worth the price. I would have given it a 2-star comment if the services were not nice and friendly….

Yesterday, I met my friends for dinner at Brick Lane, but we were not very hungry. We saw oysters being promoted on the table, so we decided to order oysters! I already thought it was a good deal because if you buy two sets, you will receive two free oysters. The waiter also answered our questions carefully and the service attitude was very good. As soon as it arrived on the table, we were already amazed. There was a model of a ship as a decoration, and there were two complimentary sauces and lemon wedges. The oysters were also very fresh and sweet. I suggest you give it a try next time you come!

Weeknight dinner: very quiet and relaxed, good for catch-up over dinner without much distraction. Restaurant manager was exceptionally thoughtful - not only explained menu options, but also gave us some complimentary cakes at the end! A genuinely hospitable experience. Other staff also professional and helpful, refilling water, clearing table (but not too quickly), offering plates for sharing items. The food was fairly good: especially full English breakfast, Caesar salad, cakes, coffee. As at June 2024 seems they have promotion during dinner (free glass of wine for a la carte meal, or buy one dinner set with second dinner set 50% off), probably because it is quiet on weeknights. Very different story during weekday lunches and office crowd, presumably. Overall a surprisingly pleasant dining experience. Would revisit, not to mention the easy accessibility with footbridge directly connecting CITIC Tower to Admiralty MTR.
