a year agoWent here on an impulse and or of curiosity with friends for an after theatre drinks... found it very inviting and cosy. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Drinks on the other hand are on the expensive side but worth a try once especially their perfume oriented cocktails. Would recommend the London Poppy

2 months agoVery well made cocktails in a hotel lobby bar. Top notch service. The bar atmosphere and decor is a little sterile though. Perhaps better for a corporate meeting rather than a night out with friends. Pricey.

4 months agoBeautiful bar, good cocktails and it feels like an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the west end. However, one of the female staff (older with dark hair in a bun) was rude and patronising, took 15 minutes to bring over my drink after I ordered it. I asked if she could top up the nuts, she bent over, looked at the table and myself and gave a disingenuous smile, said “yes, I will get you more nuts” then stood there looking at me! It was as if she was insulted that I requested this top up. The nuts she brought looked as though it came from another customers table and was the left overs. After that she walked past me several times slowly and didn’t fulfil what she said she was going to do. Very weird and unprofessional behaviour. That is not customer service. With that being said, the other staff members immediately came over and made things right and behaved in a polite manner. Shame how one fruit can spoil the rest of the basket.

2 years agoI came for a kir royal in the early hours of the morning. It was excellent as was the dessert that the bar was kind enough to bring me as an order from a different menu. It was on New Year's Eve last year and I was staying at their hotel, which had been closed to non-hotel guests much to my joy as it meant it was a pleasant experience with no rowdy drinkers. I love everything about this hotel and hope it will re-open soon. But for now, I will post this review and hope that you'll enjoy a trip to this bar (or stay at this hotel) as much as I did.
