2 weeks agoWe just visited Thirty8 for the first time to celebrate Christmas in KL. It was a wonderful experience, especially since it's our first Christmas living away from family and friends. The Christmas buffet was fabulous, super fresh seafood & everything you could possibly want and more. The staff were fabulous, very friendly, welcoming and attentive. In addition we loved the roving entertainment, including Shawn the Ballon extraordinaire, the magician & the Christmas singers/musicians. Thank you staff & chefs at Thirty8 for making it a memorable Christmas. 🎄❤️

a month agoHave been to Thirty8 several times over the past years for different occasions, and still find it a great place to entertain visitors or for special celebrations as it offers one of the best views of the KL Twin Towers alongside an innovative menu and distinctive, signature cocktails. The signature cocktails are not always a win nor the most original hence the less than perfect score honestly - the Thirty8 Sling tastes like a Singapore Sling with a small twist, the spicy Thai inspired cocktail was not all spicy . This time we also tried the Chef + Bar (4 mini cocktails with food pairings) which was a fun and fairly flavorful concept. Steep prices but always an impressive experience for visitors.

2 weeks agoExcellent buffet breakfast with spectacular 360 degree views at level 38. Loving the prata top with fried fish curry. Dim sum is made with fresh ingredients. Nasi lemak, coconut rice was good as well. Wish they have fried fish or fried chicken wings. Excellent pastry selections and they are really yummy. Service wise staffs are very friendly, service recovery was fast. Day one despite of coming at the “recommended hours after 9.30am” still too many people at the restaurant, no table available and was asked to wait for 15-20mins. Due to limited time, sat at the high chair bar counter. Was really disappointing for the kids. Day two was we placed in a private room which we can quietly enjoy our breakfast. Kudos to the service team attention to details.

2 months agoGreat view of the twin tower. Cozy environment but slightly overcrowded and noisy at a certain point. The food was average and not that spectacular. It’s obvious that some of the waiters are newly joined and need more training. Among the dishes we have ordered, only the cod fish was nice and met our expectations.

a week agoIconic hightea experience in KL! With great food, ambiance and view, all at a reasonable price. At just 128 nett on weekdays, the hightea at Thirty8 was a fantastic deal! We visited with the expectation to pay a premium for the view with some simple hightea fare (as you might find at another nearby landmark). But we were pleasantly surprised. The servings were generous, featuring over 10 thoughtfully curated items, including savory selections that were not typical of traditional hightea. The presentation exceeded expectations, offering a bit of fine dining touch, complimented by stunning view of KLCC area. The hightea service begins early, from noon. During lunch hours, most customers came specifically for the high tea set. We will recommend reservations to secure a spot. Arrive early to grab better seatings, or consider ordering roses or cake for occasions during reservation for better chances at a scoring a window table. Even after more than a decade, Grand Hyatt remains a timeless location to enjoy the KL skyline. We eagerly await for the upcoming launch of Park Hyatt at 118.
