Our chefs take centre stage in the show kitchen of our all-day restaurant, where they curate and cook signature breakfast items as well as a selection of dishes from around the globe.
We went for the Sunday dinner buffet at Curate. Restaurant was spacious and not crowded, providing a comfortable dining experience. The ambiance was undoubtedly one of the best for a buffet in KL, elegantly designed, and a testament to the four seasons brand.
Curate appears to be the breakfast area for hotel guests, offering great view of KLCC area, overlooking the iconic fountain.
While the atmosphere was fantastic, the food quality had room for improvement. Highlight was the big prawn, which were extremely tasty and huge. However some of the prawns were not fresh, a hit or miss. Food were constantly replenished. Roast beef was tough and soup rather bland. A good variety of desserts were available. We also topped up for some decent wine at an additional fee.
The services were excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Despite staying till closing time, we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. Overall experience was pleasant and relaxing.
The food was amazing and so well presented. The Satay was the highlight. There is such a vast and amazing selection. Indian, Malaysian Chinese, Japanese and of course some amazing seafood and desserts. The food was tasty, of high quality and so well presented. Staff are super friendly and tentative. The facility is so clean and well lit. Nice cool air con and quite a view of the city. Prices are high. The crayfish were not the freshest.
The Curate has a very cosy and classy ambiance. It was really comfortable to dine at Curate. The staff were friendly & welcoming and the many different dishes at the buffet dinner were well presented. The hotel deserved a 5 star rating for this.
The 3 star rating is for the overall taste and food quality. Majority of the meals were not great and were very simple dishes such as baked fish, steam fish, grilled chicken, plain broccoli with cream sauce etc. The two different types of pizza and 3 different types of pasta were definitely lacking in effort. Pizza was plain and lacking in ingredients & the Mac & Cheese was not tasty at all.
The seafood section has fresh oysters, prawns, scallops and the sashimi were obviously not very fresh!! The salmon sashimi was cut into small and thin slices. They could have been more generous with it and replenished was slow.
The dessert section was a huge disappointment. The chocolate brownies & tarts were mediocre and didn’t meet a 5 star hotel standard. The chocolate sauce provided did not met the standard of a 5 star buffet.
For the price at approximately RM238 per pax, the hotel could definitely provide better dishes in terms of the quality and taste wise.
The service at this cafe is top-notch. The staffs are friendly and welcoming.
The menu is diverse, offering a wide range of options from seafood and local dishes to meat and desserts.
The prices are reasonable, averaging around RM200++ per person.
The lively atmosphere, combined with live band performances, creates a great dining experience.
Brunch from 12.30pm to 3.30pm
Whether you’re a local or a tourist, this cafe is definitely worth a visit.
The seafood section was a plenty and the chili crab, salted egg prawn were all delicious. Ooh I love the cavier as well. Services was top notch and they also provided a complimentary birthday cake for the birthday lady. 👍
