2 weeks agoI stayed at the hotel for 5 days. The hotel was great. It was clean, service was on time, the restaurant was excellent, and overall, my family and I had a great time. There are two floors of shops and restaurants below the hotel, which means you don't need to go outside the hotel to shop. I really have good memories of staying at the hotel.

3 months agoWent there today for lunch buffet. the variety was impressive. Really enjoyed the food and ambience. To my surprise, the tandoori chicken was a standout. Their services were top notch too. They kept the dishes consistently replenished and efficiently cleared tables. Area for improvement: However, a major letdown was the overcooked roasted meats. Both the lamb, chicken, and duck were dry and tough, making them rubbery a struggle to chew.

2 months agoWe had the pleasure of dining breakfast buffet (inclusive in our room package) at Makan Kitchen at DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur, and it was an absolutely exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy vibe that made us feel comfortable and welcoming. The service was outstanding, attentive without being intrusive and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was perfect! The food itself was phenomenal. The buffet offered an impressive variety of local and international dishes, with the Malay, Chinese, and Indian selections were especially delicious, and I highly recommend their fresh pick salad and roti canai telur. The flavors were authentic and well-balanced, and you could tell everything was made with high-quality ingredients! We can't wait to come back and enjoy another meal here next time. If you're in Kuala Lumpur and craving amazing food with top-notch service, Makan Kitchen is a must-visit!

2 months agoAfter months of planning for our Party of 10 to meet up over lunch, we finally managed to come here, albeit only 8 of us were available. The other 2 were out of the country, and they were surely being missed.. Located on the 11th floor of the Double Tree Hotel Tower, it was not accessable to the general public. But the lunch crowd was surprisingly quite big, and we were grateful that we came at 12:00 noon. Fortunately for us, we were given a strategic table, just beside the satay counter. As I found out much later, satay was the most sought after delicacy, with the longest queue! Interestingly, Makan Kitchen actually consists of 3 separate buffet spreads, serving Malay, Chinese and Indian foods. Hence, I made sure that I visited all 3, eventhough the chinese food buffet was quite far from our table. I started with the Mussels and Clams at the malay food section with very little rice, and that served as a nice starter dish for me. My wife on the other hand went for the Lai Chee Kang from the chinese food section. That looked quite yummy too, so that was my next destination and choice of food, along with those thick soba-like fried noodles which I took with some roasted chicken pieces and some dim sums. That was an excellent combination, and I was fully satisfied with my choices, so did my tummy.. By the time I arrived at the indian food counter, I was already quite full. But not to be outdone, I still managed to sample some Cheese Naan with Tandoori Chicken, which is actually my daughter's favorite snacks.. Of course I didnt forget to try the much sought after Chicken and Beef Satay, which I swear were the softest and most succulent ever, that they practically melted in my mouth!! For some reasons, some foods were not available that day. I was looking for some fresh oysters, Barbeque Ribs, and Lambs or Mutton dishes, but they were not to be found. Hence, I was quite disappointed, considering the price of the lunch package. I hope the Management would look into this matter seriously...
