Barnum Cafè

This space is well worth all the positive reviews! Upon arrival, there was quite a bit of a line already in front of us in the morning. There were five of us and although the staff told us that it would be around 30 minutes of waiting, it was less than that. The staff were friendly, and in very high spirits. It was nice to see the way they interacted with customers and children as well. The menu was diverse enough, and the food was quite tasty. Zero complaints there. I would say that’s the wait was well worth it.

Visited back in January 2023. Food was great, ambiance was great and the best part was that they were open on a holiday (Epiphany). Happy that we went here for our last breakfast in Rome to cap our trip - I really enjoyed my matcha latte. We walked to the cafe since it was near our accommodation. I would visit again if I return to Rome.

We got there on a Tuesday at 10:30 and waited roughly 5 minutes to be seated, you can either sit outside or inside. We chose to sat outside because the weather was very nice and in wasn’t in the sun. I’m not a fan of avocado toasts because they’re usually served very plain but this one actually surprised me. The avocado itself was very flavorful, and it was accompanied by seeds and some mixed greens. I had an iced latte and my mom had a juice (turmeric, carrot, ginger) which was super smooth. The pancakes were alright, not the best one I had. It came with whipped cream, jam and syrup. Service was very good and staff were nice. Around 11:00 the line was a bit longer, so I recommend getting there earlier. Our bi was 37€.

This place is IT for breakfast. They are super friendly people with some amazing croissants and breakfast. We have enjoyed this place twice now and plan to be back for more. If you have been and haven’t had their juices they are 5 star alone. Most places really have average fresh juice they definitely do not. Next time your there try it. You won’t be disappointed.

A must try for anyone in Rome (wherever you are staying). This is genuinely the best brunch place I’ve ever tried. Be warned, you will need to wait a very long time if you are going at peak times. I had to wait an hour at one point but was genuinely worth it. We came here on two separate back to back days because it was that good (we tried a third on our last day but they had a power cut so they were shut!) The waiter we had was accommodating and knew about halal choices (we just went for the safe veggie option) but I’m glad he was aware of this given most places are a bit oblivious at times. The pancakes and the filled croissant are a MUST try for anyone with a sweet tooth. The banana bread was also out of this world. The coffee here has been rated as the best in Rome by my travel partner (and he has a lot of coffee). Overall, an excellent choice for anyone looking for some good food in Rome!!
