Barnum Cafè

Really good, though not a traditionally Italian, breakfast spot. Despite a queue for seating, it was efficiently managed, and we were seated quickly. A meal with a drink costs around 15-20 euros, which felt reasonable given the quality. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with an interesting twist: the restaurant is named Barnum, like Barnum Circus, and you can spot little circus-themed touches throughout the decor. A unique and enjoyable experience!

I recently visited Barnum, a cozy cafe in Rome with a lovely industrial-chic vibe. The espresso was excellent, with a rich and balanced flavor. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that they only served bottled water. The pistachio croissant was a delightful treat. The pastry was flaky and buttery, with a subtle sweetness that wasn't overpowering. While the pistachio flavor was present, it could have been more pronounced. Also, the staff were great. Overall, Barnum is a great spot for a coffee and pastry, but the lack of tap water was a minor drawback.

We saw this place recommended on the Korean Vegan’s website. We had such a nice breakfast experience here yesterday! We had to wait about ten minutes for a table but that was no problem for us. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming. It was nice to see some vegan options on the menu. My husband and I shared an avocado and chickpea toast and vegan plum cake. So delicious! I also had a perfect oat milk cappuccino here.

Great breakfast! Service was fantastic as well. We did have to wait in line about 25-30 min. No big deal. That’s pretty common for us back in the states. But what stood out? A staff member brought out little cups of espresso for each of us in line while we waited! Lovely! I enjoyed the club sandwich. Egg, chicken, bacon, greens, and a spicy (pretty mild) mayo on the most perfectly grilled, buttery bread. Delicious! I got a large cappuccino as well and it was perfect! My husband got a more typical American breakfast of scrambled eggs, a generous portion of bacon, sausage, a potato cake, and toast. He loved it! Along with fresh orange juice. Finally, the folks inside making coffee know their coffee. I was on the hunt for coffee to bring home to friends and family and they presented me with coffee for espresso machines, coffee for a French press, and coffee to be filtered. So helpful! Made my coffee shopping experience very simple! Definitely recommend this restaurant! It’s worth the wait in line.

Very tasty, nice modern vibe and very clean. I enjoyed the brunch, avocado bagel was perfect delicious and light. They respect eatry preferences. Perfect croissants too! They could improve in coffee to be a little stronger.
