3 months agoI LOVE alder and sage!! One of my favorite spots in Long Beach. The avocado tartine, the short rib and polenta, the coffee, everything is always incredible. Everything is always so unique and flavorful! I love coming here when my mom visits, it’s her favorite place too. :)

2 months agoYUM YUM YUM! This place is a must try!! Everything I had was absolutely delicious! I had their classic breakfast which includes a house made jam! I added on their potatoes and washed it all down with such a flavorful ice chai! This will for sure be my go to spot whenever I’m in town.

2 months agoPiky really wants to like this place but unfortunately food was a bit bland. Had the polenta & short rib which the short rib itself had no flavor but the first bite of the polenta was sooo flavorful. Sadly with each bite you get use to the flavors and soon the flavor dissipates. I think a tastier short rib would commentate for it. Maybe this old goats tastes buds are failing… The mojo pork hash similarly lacked in flavor. The potatoes had good seasoning though the pork was plain similar to the short rib. The chimichurri helps but the dish only came with what seemed like drizzles of it. Maybe ask for more on the side though even that was lacking in flavor too. Beautiful presentation on the dishes and similarly the ube matcha is quite the looker but taste 🤔 This ol’ goat wants to like this place because the aesthetic and location is great so I will be back! Can’t give the picky goat seal of approval so no clapping hooves this time…

6 months agoThis was a very hipster brunch spot with such a rich and limited menu. It’s great to come in with a small group or on a date as seating indoors is a bit tight. The Ricotta French Toast was the group’s favorite because of the sweet yet tart blueberry compote as it balanced so well with the ricotta cheese. The Wagyu Smash burger was delicious but definitely the Ricotta French Toast is a signature item to get every visit. My cousin enjoyed the Mojo Pork Hash and it definitely looks like it’s another must have!
