Clinton St Baking Company is a classic American restaurant with bakery located on NYC’s Lower East Side. Since 2001, we’ve maintained our mom & pop roots by using the highest quality ingredients from local purveyors we know and trust who stand behind the integrity of their products like sustainable coffee, all natural milk, cage free poultry & eggs, premium ice cream, and heritage farm-raised pork. Our eclectic menu takes inspiration from the American South, coastal New England, Jewish New York, and the Spanish cooks who bring to our kitchen their rich culinary traditions from Mexico and the Southwest.
Nearly everything we serve, from raspberry jam and buttermilk biscuits, to corn tortillas and habanero hot sauce, is made on premises, using classic and traditional techniques. Our breakfast and brunch earn the most acclaim, but dinner is a great time to visit, when lights are low, crowds are calm and the neighborhood regulars claim their well-earned place. And yes—pancakes are served all day and all night!

a week agoA beautiful and cozy place, ideal for breakfast and lunch. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes that look appetizing and taste just as good. I ordered pancakes with blueberries for breakfast - they were just incredible! The portion is large and very satisfying. The pancakes were tender, and the blueberry syrup added a special flavor. I recommend it for a delicious and atmospheric meal!

a month agoI think if you can manage to get a reservation, Clinton St. Baking Co is worth a visit! I went with a group of 4 on a Sunday. We had to wait 15 min for our table to be ready, but once seated the staff really made us feel welcome. We tried the blueberry pancakes, chicken and waffle, B.E.L.T., and Mexican scramble. We also ordered a side waffle and biscuit. The pancakes are fluffy and the chicken was very well seasoned. Overall everything was delicious.

a week agoSuper busy, but enjoyed a lot!!! Chicken waffle I think was what I enjoyed most because of the mix of salty and sweet food contrast. The sauce was super good. We ate more stuff but definitely recommend that thing of the fried chicken.

3 weeks agoStopped by Clinton Street Bakery to meet a friend visiting from out of town. It’s a cute little spot on the corner of Houston and Clinton with chill breakfast vibes. Our server was super friendly and really attentive, which was great! We were originally told it would be a 45-minute wait, but it ended up taking an hour before we were seated. It was a bit frustrating to see other people, who arrived after us, being seated before us. It almost felt like they didn’t want to give up a 4-top table to seat just three people. As for the food, it was pretty mediocre. I tried the fried green tomatoes and chicken and waffles. The fried green tomatoes were quite tasty, with the batter sticking nicely to them. However, the chicken left much to be desired—looked great but lacked flavor, especially the seasoning in the batter (maybe salt?). My partner wasn’t wowed by the classic Benedict—it was just okay. But the fresh and sweet orange juice was a hit! Our friend loved her blueberry pancakes, and while I didn’t get a bite, I trust her rave review. I’d go back if someone else really wanted to, but I wouldn’t be the one suggesting it. And next time, I’d definitely skip the chicken and waffles—I’d def have to try the biscuits with tomato jam.

2 weeks agoIn addition to having large chunks of chocolate on the outside, there were also several pieces on the inside. The maple butter syrup is undoubtedly one of the best syrups I ever tasted because it was a divine combination of maple syrup and butter. Be sure to arrive early because this restaurant will quickly fill up.
