With a shared love for the universally coveted egg sandwich, husband/wife team Sarah Schneider and Demetri Makoulis alongside chef Nick Korbee opened the first Egg Shop Nolita outpost in 2014, in the Soho neighborhood of New York City. Inspired by the incredible versatility of the egg, the team went on to develop infinite egg-centric dishes that are both familiar and nuanced. Today, Korbee executes a seasonal menu of organic, locally sourced dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner at both their cozy SoHo location and more spacious outpost in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (opened in 2017) – paired with fresh juices, creative & refreshing cocktails, and a selection of organic and biodynamic wines. Eggheads everywhere can now recreate the restaurant’s signature bowls, sandwiches, and breakfast cocktails with Egg Shop: The Cookbook (released in 2017). Maintaining Egg Shop’s signature playful-yet-minimalist aesthetic, the book comically and thoroughly guides readers through all egg-cooking techniques and provides recipes for more than 100 inventive egg-centric dishes.

a month agoA Must-Try NYC Breakfast Spot! If you're looking for a fantastic breakfast experience in NYC, Egg Shop is a must-visit! The food is absolutely incredible. The fried chicken is juicy and flavorful. The bacon, egg, and cheese on brioche is a classic done right. And don't forget to try the hash browns – crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfect for dipping in the chipotle bourbon ketchup. The Brunch is a must-have, and the SPA WATER drinks are refreshing and unique. And if you have room for dessert, the munchkin donuts are the perfect way to end your meal. The service is top-notch, and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, Egg Shop is a fantastic place to enjoy a delicious and fun breakfast. Highly recommend!

2 months agoThis place was amazing. I got the smoked salmon Benedict. And my sister got a scrambled egg on the gluten-free bread. Which by the way, is amazing. They’re gluten-free bread is so buttery and soft. The meals were amazing, the service was awesome. Ana helped us and she was so sweet and attentive. The atmosphere is very comfy and Chill. I could’ve stayed here all day. The lavender latte is a must try. And the background music for your experience is the icing on the cake. Definitely coming back.

a month agoWoah this is a #1 must stop by for breakfast. $15-20 plates and everything tastes fresh and delicious. Peper boy sandwich 5/5- the egg was fluffy and well seasoned. The pepper bacon stood out with umami flavor and had its own texture that wasn’t too crunchy. I added the honey butter sauce to it! This is one of the best breakfast places I’ve ever been to. Definitely coming back and this is a must see every time I visit in New York.

2 months agoBest Turkish eggs in America? Might be! I can’t recall having a better version. When all the ingredients are right, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Eggs - perfect consistency with solid white and half runny yolk Yogurt - whipped and thick. Compliments all flavors. Pickles - great crunch and flavor. Toast - often overlooked but can really elevate. Toasted on both side with great flavor. Perfect for dipping into all the other elements. Seasoning - the oils and seasoning was great. Helped spice things up the right way. Would def come back and get this exact thing every week.
