With a shared love for the universally coveted egg sandwich, husband/wife team Sarah Schneider and Demetri Makoulis alongside chef Nick Korbee opened the first Egg Shop Nolita outpost in 2014, in the Soho neighborhood of New York City. Inspired by the incredible versatility of the egg, the team went on to develop infinite egg-centric dishes that are both familiar and nuanced. Today, Korbee executes a seasonal menu of organic, locally sourced dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner at both their cozy SoHo location and more spacious outpost in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (opened in 2017) – paired with fresh juices, creative & refreshing cocktails, and a selection of organic and biodynamic wines. Eggheads everywhere can now recreate the restaurant’s signature bowls, sandwiches, and breakfast cocktails with Egg Shop: The Cookbook (released in 2017). Maintaining Egg Shop’s signature playful-yet-minimalist aesthetic, the book comically and thoroughly guides readers through all egg-cooking techniques and provides recipes for more than 100 inventive egg-centric dishes.

a week agoThe food was really delicious. The place is nice but it's really small and can feel very crowded. If you want to have a nice meal and be able to hear your conversation, this may not be the place you go to. But definitely go for the food and experience.

3 months agoVERY small place with incredible staff and food. Like a few comments have said, make a reservation if you're visiting on peak! The food was perfection, every bite was incredibly flavorful! For 2 alcoholic drinks, 2 entres and a shared side it came out to $82 and change. Not bad at all, right in the middle for what to expect in the city. Please check it out of you have a chance!

2 months agoTiny place but great for breakfast! We had a reservation which is key. The staff are awesome and the food is delicious. I enjoyed a cappuccino and the ricotta scramble. My table also ordered the biscuit with honey butter and strawberry preserves to share, it was so tender and buttery!

a month agoHad brunch here as a birthday treat. I booked a reservation and was seated 10 minutes before my actual time. The food was delicious. My party ordered the chilaquiles, AEC and chorizo tacos and they were amazing picks. The service was great and quick. Would come here again!

4 months agoThis place honestly quite disappointing. I've heard good things about the food here and finally made a res and came. I got a sausage egg and cheese burger and it tasted like any deli/bodega could make that...and it's $15. The lavender latte was not very strong either. Would not recommend and wouldn't come back again.
