Renowned for its simple and fresh comfort food, Bubby’s is dedicated to defending the American table and its traditions with thoughtful ingredient sourcing and an “off the commercial food grid” philosophy. The mission has remained the same from that first day– to welcome each and every person as though they are guests in our home, to raise the awareness of the beauty of American food – its ethnic contributions and regional and geographic abundance, and to celebrate the patchwork of American culture.
Bubby’s wants people to know where their food came from, who grew it and what is good about it. American cuisine is much more than burgers and pie; it’s Chinese, Mexican, Southern, an elaborate and flavorful food scape created by the generations of people who built America.
27 years Bubby’s has been cooking and baking in a way that is thoughtful, healthy and most importantly, delicious!

a week agoBooked a table at Bubby’s whilst we were in New York as a friend recommended it.The food was absolutely delicious. I had the pancakes with berry compote and the pancakes were incredibly fluffy. Despite the bigger portion size, it wasn’t too much and not too sweet which was great! My friends enjoyed the breakfast and banana pancakes. It took a while to be seated despite having booked in advance. However, this was made up by incredibly fast service. Our food came before our drinks! I don’t think I’ve ever been served so quickly. The restaurant was very busy so maybe not one for people looking for a quieter breakfast spot. It is expensive in comparison to a similar meal in the UK but I would say it’s worth a visit. I wish I could get pancakes like this in Scotland ☺️

a week agoBubby’s is a fantastic spot for comfort food in New York. The dishes are absolutely delicious, with generous portions that make every meal satisfying. From their famous pancakes to the savory brunch options, everything is prepared with great care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Service is efficient, even when the restaurant is busy. The only downside is the price—meals can be quite expensive, especially considering the casual dining setting. However, the quality and portion sizes make it worth the cost. If you’re looking for a great brunch spot in NYC, Bubby’s is definitely worth a visit!

in the last weekHad the chance to stop by this morning and was happy to see they had outdoor seating options. While it was busy the staff were very kind and made sure everyone was greeted. Outdoor seating is a good option if it’s not too windy and you don’t want to wait very long. My sister got the pancake flight while I got Bubby’s breakfast. The pancakes were super fluffy and surprisingly light. The Bubby’s breakfast was super filling, not greasy at all and the toast was super fresh. The service was on another level, as mentioned before the staff were super kind. On my way out they even offered me a refill on my coffee in a to-go cup. As a bonus there is a photo booth downstairs, plenty of bathroom stalls and multiple hand washing stations. Great experience.

2 weeks agoIf there is anywhere in NYC to get brunch, this is the place. The service is amazing. The atmosphere encompasses the word ‘brunch’ and the food is superb. I wish the weather was nicer so we were able to enjoy the atmosphere outside with the hustle and bustle of the city around us, but inside was just as grand. I’d recommend a reservation as sometimes a line will form outside because of how great it is. You won’t be eating here for cheap, but no worry, it’s worth it. The pancakes are the best I’ve ever had and all entrees had a unique farm to table taste and look that made you salivate. If you have any question about where to go in this neighborhood, this is the place.

2 weeks agoWe visited for breakfast and found the wait time to be quite long, so we decided to come back later. The service was friendly and efficient, which was a plus. The biscuits were fresh and delicious, but the pancakes flight were a bit disappointing for 27 dollars a plate, it was kinda dry and lacking the fluffiness we expected as seen in the picture and the taste was nothing extraordinary. Overall, a decent experience, but the food quality could be more consistent.
