Renowned for its simple and fresh comfort food, Bubby’s is dedicated to defending the American table and its traditions with thoughtful ingredient sourcing and an “off the commercial food grid” philosophy. The mission has remained the same from that first day– to welcome each and every person as though they are guests in our home, to raise the awareness of the beauty of American food – its ethnic contributions and regional and geographic abundance, and to celebrate the patchwork of American culture.
Bubby’s wants people to know where their food came from, who grew it and what is good about it. American cuisine is much more than burgers and pie; it’s Chinese, Mexican, Southern, an elaborate and flavorful food scape created by the generations of people who built America.
27 years Bubby’s has been cooking and baking in a way that is thoughtful, healthy and most importantly, delicious!

3 weeks agoThis place is an extremely popular spot for brunch, and it's easy to see why! The food is delicious, but be prepared: reservations are recommended since it can get busy. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations on weekends, so expect long queues outside during those days. Plan your visit with this in mind to avoid waiting too long. The menu features all the usual American breakfast and brunch favorites. One standout dish is the pancakes—they’re thicker than usual and incredibly fluffy, making them a must-try! Our guests were trying American breakfast food for the first time, and they absolutely loved it. If you're a coffee lover, be aware that they only serve drip coffee, with no espresso or other coffee varieties available. It’s good to know before you go! Seating options include both indoor and outdoor areas, each with separate queues. The indoor seating area is medium-sized, but due to its popularity, it can get crowded and noisy. While it’s not a dealbreaker, it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, this brunch spot is definitely worth a visit, just remember to plan ahead!

a week agoA filling brunch in lively setting with indoor and outdoor seating. Food comes out very quick after we order and is generous portion. Staffs are friendly though note that Bubby’s do not seat you unless you have full party and dont take reservation for brunch. Noise level was very high and we could barely hear each other across the table. Drink portion was also not as generous vs other restaurant. Overall, a pleasant meal though would recommend outdoor seating or avoid peak time.

a month agoGreat pancakes - get ready to wait! We got there around 11 on a Sunday as a group of 5 and waited . Until your whole party is there they won’t seat you. The pancake flight is a must for first timers to try all the different flavors. Coffee was good. Once you order the food comes out fast. Less than a 10 minute wait, impressive since it’s always super busy! If you’re willing to wait the pancakes are worth it!

a week agoThe food at Bubby’s is great. We recently had a delicious brunch. We ordered a bagel and eggs, chocolate chip pancakes, and the Caesar with fried chicken. The food is really delicious comfort food at a reasonable price, but certain not innovative or gourmet. The restaurant was very loud with club music on a Sunday at 2pm and was also full of tourists… it seems the word has gotten out out tribecca.

a month agoWOW this is a MUST For all pancake lovers! We went here twice while staying in NYC for 1.5 weeks. The pancakes are out of this world, and the toppings were just amazing. We bought a pancake kit and I wish we had bought more on our way home. Also, do not hesitate to order the flaky buttermilk biscuits! They are in a league of their own.
