Bubby’s wants people to know where their food came from, who grew it and what is good about it. American cuisine is much more than burgers and pie; it’s Chinese, Mexican, Southern, an elaborate and flavorful food scape created by the generations of people who built America.

a month agoWe visited for a weekend brunch. Be prepared for a bit of a wait since they don’t take reservations for weekend brunch. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday and only waited about 20 minutes, not bad for such a popular place! The atmosphere was bustling and energetic and the service was fantastic. The staff made sure we were well taken care of, with constant water and coffee refills, and they were super attentive despite how busy it was. Portions here are huge, definitely come hungry! I ordered the Abe Lincoln mainly because I was excited to try the grits, but they were a letdown. Thankfully, the rest of the dish was great, so it wasn’t a total disappointment. The pancakes with 3 toppings called pancake flight was great. Overall, it’s a great spot for a hearty brunch with friendly service, even if not every dish was a hit. I’d come back just for the pancakes and the lively vibe!

a week ago2nd time going. The consistency is notable! The Bubby’s burger and the PANCAKES, my goodness, the pancakes! Worth going for just them alone. The chicken sandwich is also worth a look into and the eggs! Staff are lovely and friendly. Gets very busy on the weekends, but has a quick turnover. Just basically your quintessential American restaurant.

3 months agoRecommended by a friend before we arrived and didn’t disappoint. Busy when we arrived but got a seat within 20 minutes and then service was rapid (food arrived within 5 minutes of sitting down) Pancakes were tasty and filling, coffee was strong and mimosas were delicious. Quite expensive for the meal at $120 including tip, more than I would have liked to have paid, but worth it for the experience once.

2 weeks agoBubby’s exceeded my expectations! I am so glad we made the trip downtown to try some of their amazing pancakes. Due to their popularity we couldn’t get reservations and planned to show up early for the waitlist. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait but in less that 20 minutes we were seated. Our food came quickly which was so impressive with such a crowded restaurant. Let me tell you, those pancakes were heavenly ! Some of the best I have ever add. Fresh cream and fruit, atop fluffy buttery pancakes. Perfection ! Another star was the avocado toast. A nice balance to all the sweetness. I can’t wait to come back again for breakfast . Shout out to the amazing staff here for handling this business so well.

a week agoWe went for my birthday, and it was perfect! We arrived a bit late (around 9:30 AM) and found a huge line to sit inside since it was freezing cold. I highly recommend getting there earlier for a good table. We ended up sitting outside, thinking we would freeze, but the food arrived so fast—and was so delicious—that we finished in just 15 minutes! The service was great, and the place is super cute.
