Renowned for its simple and fresh comfort food, Bubby’s is dedicated to defending the American table and its traditions with thoughtful ingredient sourcing and an “off the commercial food grid” philosophy. The mission has remained the same from that first day– to welcome each and every person as though they are guests in our home, to raise the awareness of the beauty of American food – its ethnic contributions and regional and geographic abundance, and to celebrate the patchwork of American culture.
Bubby’s wants people to know where their food came from, who grew it and what is good about it. American cuisine is much more than burgers and pie; it’s Chinese, Mexican, Southern, an elaborate and flavorful food scape created by the generations of people who built America.
27 years Bubby’s has been cooking and baking in a way that is thoughtful, healthy and most importantly, delicious!

a week agoThis was a positive surprise! We were looking for a typical American food brunch and to our delight we came acroos this place. Staff was welcoming, the place was not crowded on Monday lunch time. The grain bowl is an excellent vegan option if you order without cheese. I loved it. My husband is still talking about the fried chicken with the fluffy pancakes.

a week agoEverything is really great in this fun restaurant. From it's rustic decor, absolutely delicious menu and beyond friendly service we enjoyed every hit of it. Where it failed was in what you would never expect. The bathroom had a long hinge on top of the door which, because the ceiling is so low, makes the sharp edge virtually eye kevel. There are no warning signs. I nearly walked right into it full speed. By the grace of God I missed it by an inch. To say I was upset would be an understatement. It ruined the whole experience. Still, barring that issue, it's a place worth visiting.

2 weeks agoThis is a great breakfast option in NYC!! It was very busy, but the hostesses were organized. A very friendly staff that was knowledgeable and kind. The Corned Beef Hash was hearty, delicious and filling!! Highly recommend this as a "must try" breakfast option when visiting the city. BONUS: The Franklin St. subway is a 5 minute walk.

a month agoRecommended by friends and this was really worth a visit! I ordered a cherry pie and English breakfast tea as afternoon tea. My friend, by contrast, ordered grilled chicken breast and fries for some small bites. The cherry pie was a must-try. Though it was too sweet for me (and I am not a big fan of cinnamon), it still tasted great with my English breakfast tea. Grilled chicken breast and fries also tasted good with a fair proportion. Love the country style of the restaurant and it seemed to be pet-friendly ( I saw a dog dining in while having my meal).

a month agoWas looking for somewhere for breakfast near Tribeca and a helpful passer-by directed us to Bubby's. So lucky! This is one of the finest breakfasts we've had! There was a bit of a queue for larger parties, but as there was only two of us we managed to be quickly seated. The food and service is phenomenal and the buzz of the restaurant is vibrant. Cannot recommend Bubby's enough do not miss!
